I've totally forgotten to mention this.
I just recently found out that I had mono this summer. And here I thought I was just really bored.*
But, yeah, I've been excessively tired. Not in the I need a nap sense. More like I need to sleep 15 hours every night in addition to a half hour nap after work.
All of this coincided with other changes. I started working out in the morning instead of afternoon, which meant getting up a lot earlier. I also gave up coffee for a period of time.
So I thought I was tired from natural causes.
Turns out I was fighting a virus. And fighting it hard. I never did take a break from working out because I just didn't realize I was ill. But I did go back to caffeine because I'm no idiot.
I had some bloodwork done that revealed that - AHA! - I had mono. It's mostly out my system at this point.
I'm fairly certain I picked the virus up while on vacation with my family. At any given time there were 3 or 4 bottles of water around the house. Before we got smart and started labelling them with our initials, I know that several of us accidentally shared bottles. And I do know that one of my family members also came down with mono.
Anyway, I'm over the hump and starting to feel better. But better is relative, especially when my sleep schedule gets slightly messed up. Like this past weekend... We were out late for my cousin's wedding. Really late. The next day was miserable.
I keep getting better every day, so that's all that matters!
